Water is distilled by the Baxter boiler. Water in the ship to day at 8am at 4pm at midnight At fire room bilge 8 inches 15 inches 11 inches Sounded at noon in 29 fathoms. Muddy bottom. No drift indicated by lead line. Sunrise obscured by fog. Sunset at 11.23.
