Distilling with the Baxter boiler. At 2am the wire cross stay of the wind mill broke, and the two released 
fans, striking the tripod, were broken short off. The wind mill continued to do all the pumping however 
with the two remaining fans.

Fresh S.E. wind all day. Sky overcast during forenoon and a part of the afternoon, clearing afterwards 
for a time. Slowly falling followed by steadily rising barometer.
Carpenters engaged in making sled runners for boats keels, and engineer's force engaged in 
constructing small pump of boiler tubes to be worked by wind mill in light weather.
