The steam cutter's boiler is used for distilling. Sounded in 77 fathoms. Muddy bottom. A rapid drift N.E. being indicated by the lead line. At 11am the ship was inspected by the Commanding Officer. At 1.30pm divine service was performed in the cabin. Weather clear, bright and pleasant. Fresh southerly winds, unusually high barometer and pleasant temperature. Sunrise 3h 13m. Sunset 8h 45m.
