Cloudy and pleasant. Light breeze from N.E. A hunting party left the ship in the steam launch.

Cloudy with passing showers first part of watch. Light to moderate breeze from E. Barometer falling. 
Clouds cum, nimb and stratus. Moderate sea setting into harbor. Ship riding head to wind. Engaged 
making chafing gear, building galley house and making canvas cover for same.
